Member Spotlight

Joined AAAE: 2003

Who is your industry mentor? The late Richard (Dick) Pfenning - Midway Airlines. A high-integrity human being who modeled the essence of strong professional leadership for me early in my career; do the right thing, for all the right reasons, and lead with true compassion and a warm smile.

What has being involved in AAAE meant to your career? I remain a lifelong student of the industry in which I've been fortunate to spend the past 45 years. I feel that my AAAE involvement as a corporate member - at both the National and the Chapters levels - has afforded me excellent, continuing opportunities to be a contributing member of, for, and to the airports community. I place high personal, as well as professional, value on serving the organization's combined membership base and look forward to leaving behind more than I take from my participation as Corporate Committee Chair and a member of the Board of Directors

Dream Destination? Home with my wife Christine, and our beagle Brooklyn, in Galveston County, TX (this road warrior's ultimate dream destination).

What's in your carry on? Laptop, Kindle Paperwhite, and far too many power supplies, adapters, and cables (along with my 3-1-1 liquids bag..just in case).
