Mr. Robert Olislagers, A.A.E.

Centennial Airport

Member Spotlight

Joined AAAE: 1985

Who is your industry mentor(s)? The late great Dan Sabovich, former General Manager of the Mojave Air & Space Port who made the airport what it is today; and, Larry Hedrick, past AAAE Chair (1995), who was CEO of Buffalo Int'l Airport at the time and who gave me a shot at an internship there led by the very able and funny Sean O'Connor. Thank you all!

What has being involved in AAAE meant to your career? Frankly, I would not be where I am today if not for AAAE! From opportunities to get involved with committees to learning from the amazing talent pool that is the membership, AAAE exudes professionalism at its best. The membership is so much more than that though; they are family and many colleagues, both airport and corporate, have become lifelong friends. I will always cherish that.

Favorite Airport Code? KAPA, which of course is the identifier for Centennial Airport, but it also means "cover" in Hawai'ian; "we got you covered at KAPA!"

Landside or Airside? Planes, planes, planes...and jet fuel in the morning!
