AAAE Quick Facts

AAAE has an 84-year history of service on behalf of airport professionals.

AAAE membership is open to airport professionals at all levels.

AAAE represents airports of all sizes, in all parts of the country.

AAAE offers leadership opportunities for executives from airports of all sizes.

AAAE has a strong network of six affiliated regional chapters.

AAAE ranks in the top one percent of trade and professional associations with a $30 million annual budget and $50 million in assets, including its own headquarters building and other investments that have created significant value for its members and placed AAAE on sound financial footing for generations to come.

AAAE has achieved that growth without relying on member dues, which on average account for less than 5 percent of AAAE's annual revenues.

Over the past decade, AAAE has earned $300 million in revenues -- only 3 percent of which came from member dues -- and managed the same amount of expenditures for services to airports and airport executives.

AAAE offers a "cafeteria approach" to services that ensures members get what they want rather than a typical association model, which bundles services and requires everyone to support via dues.

The AAAE model ensures responsiveness to member needs and spurs innovation in solving unique and difficult problems for airports and the aviation industry.

The AAAE scholarship program, the largest student-focused scholarship program in the aviation industry, has awarded more than $3.2 million to more than 1,950 students since 1989, including $235,000 in 2012.
