One of the many consequences of the Feb. 22, magnitude 6.3 Christchurch, New Zealand, earthquake disaster is the sad fact that many employees of Christchurch International Airport have suffered the loss of their homes and possessions. AAAE, ACI-NA, ACI World and ACI Asia Pacific, in response to calls from the airport community, have established a humanitarian relief fund to aid these airport employees.
One hundred percent of the funds collected by the associations will be designated for distribution to airport employees for the purposes of humanitarian relief, such as assistance with temporary housing, food, clothing, transportation, etc.
AAAE/ACI-NA/ACI World/ACI Asia Pacific have established a 501(c) 3 account to accept the funds, making all donations 100 percent tax deductible. AAAE/ACI-NA/ACI World/ACI Asia Pacific jointly will administer collection of the funds. Contributors can make their donations by credit card only from AAAE's VeriSign certified secure web site.
If you have questions or need further information, please contact Spencer Dickerson at AAAE, phone (703) 824-0504, e-mail sdickerson@aaae.org; or Greg Principato at ACI-NA, phone (202) 293-8500, e-mail gprincipato@aci-na.org; or Angela Gittens at ACI, phone (514) 564 4457, e-mail mbarre@aci.aero.
Thank you in advance for your caring and generosity in this time of great, great need.
