11th Annual AAAE/TSA/DHS Aviation Security Summit
December 12-13, 2011

Registration is now open for the 11th Annual AAAE/TSA/DHS Aviation Security Summit on December 12-13, 2011 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia. This important annual event brings together senior leadership from the Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration with airport operators and other key aviation industry players for an intensive conference focusing on the most important security issues facing the aviation industry today. Attendees will:
- Hear from DHS and TSA leadership about vital aviation security issues;
- Learn about the latest developments regarding security policy and technology;
- Network with key aviation security decision-makers;
- Enjoy an evening reception that will provide added time to network with colleagues and visit state-of-the-art exhibitors; and,
- Benefit from the extended agenda which now covers a day and half of official conference sessions and is focused exclusively on aviation security issues.
Airport attendees are also invited to participate in an Airports-Only meeting of AAAE's Transportation Security Services Committee. The Airports-Only meeting will take place after the conclusion of the official conference in the afternoon of December 13, 2011 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott.

AAAE Fall Security Webinar Series
Registration is now open for a series of three AAAE webinars focused on the top security issues facing airports today. Each 90-minute webinar will provide detailed presentations and discussions on each of the following subject areas:
October 27, 2011 – The first in the series, AAAE Webinar: Risk-Based Security, will examine what the on-going shift to the new aviation security paradigm of risk-based security means for airports by reviewing the impact of TSA pilot programs, such as PreCheck and Known Crew Member, on airport operations and checkpoint configurations.
November 9, 2011 – The second in the series, AAAE Webinar: Behavior Detection, will review behavior detection programs specifically as a component of risk-based security, including the TSA’s new Assessor Program and the long-standing Screening Passengers by Observational Techniques (SPOT) program, as well as provide a global perspective on the effectiveness of behavior detection.
November 30, 2011 – The third in the series, AAAE Webinar: Perimeter Security, will provide the latest information to help airports secure their perimeters, including detailed airport best practices and case studies and proven and emerging technologies to meet perimeter security requirements today and into the future.
Participants can register for each webinar individually or qualify for discounted rates by registering for two or more webinars. Participants registering for any two webinars in the series can save $40 and participants registering for the entire three webinar series can save $60. To qualify for the discounts, the webinars must be purchased at the same time.
Each 90-minute webinar begins at 2:00 p.m. ET on the date specified and will be available for future playback to those who register. All you need to participate in any of these three 90-minute webinars is a paid registration and Internet access on a computer with sound!
