This course curriculum is tailored to address the unique operational techniques, challenges and responsibilities of the airport communication center dispatcher. It is based on a variety of techniques and recommendations from U.S. government agencies and leading industry communication organizations such as Association of Public Safety Communications Officials, National Emergency Number Association, International Municipal Signal Association, and National Fire Protection Agency. This course also intends to clarify the roles of other interfacing communications segments such as general public service information, first responders for safety and security, public information officers, and airport emergency response operations.
