The U.S. Patent Office awarded AAAE a formal patent (patent number 6.589.055B2) for the IET system on July 8, 2003. During this process, the IET system was judged to be a unique combination of computer and interactive video technology.
A Canadian Patent was also awarded to AAAE on May 22, 2007. The Canadian patent number is: 2,437,677.
