The program content addresses the importance of safety when fueling aircraft, as well as performing quarterly fuel farm and fuel truck inspections. In addition, the workshop will give the attendee an understanding of the technical side, as it relates to fueling and the significance of NFPA 407 (Standard for Aircraft Fuel Servicing), 14 CFR Part 139.321, and AC 150/5230-4A (Aircraft Fuel Storage, Handling, and Dispensing on Airports). |
| Family Assistance |
| The passage of the Aviation Disaster Family Assistance ACT in 1996 provided a baseline for airlines and other entities to discuss the roles and responsibilities in consoling and informing family members following air disasters. Topics in this workshop will focus on identifying the roles and responsibilities of airports, considerations in developing a plan and two case studies that will give attendees hands on experience in drafting a plan. |
