Certified Member Program

As a benefit, AAAE is proud to offer the Certified Member Program (C.M.) to Affiliate, Associate, Participating, Corporate, Military and Academic Graduate members (academic members please click here). This designation is a useful credential for individuals seeking employment within the airport management profession, for professionals who interface with airport executives and for airport personnel who may not wish to complete the full accreditation process.

Candidates in the C.M. program obtain the designation by completing only one step - a 180-question, multiple-choice examination. The multiple-choice exam is comprised of information contained in the Body of Knowledge modules, and measures a candidate’s comprehensive knowledge of airport management, regardless of airport size.  There are no time limits for program completion - the C.M. program is self-study, and allows candidates to successfully complete the multiple-choice exam at their own pace.  To view the list of topics covered in the Body of Knowledge modules, and on the exam, click here.

In addition to self-study materials, AAAE and the South Central Chapter–AAAE provide the opportunity for candidates to complete the program in a classroom environment at the Loretta Scott Accreditation / Certification academy. This week-long review course is held several times a year, with attendees completing the exam on the final day. After successful completion of the exam, candidates receive the C.M. designation. Please see the Loretta Scott, A.A.E.,  Accreditation/Certification Academy web site for more information on the upcoming review course.

Regardless of your preference for self-studying or a classroom format to complete the Certified Member program, AAAE delivers options without any time constraints and maximum flexibility. You can study the modules on your own, form a study group or attend one of the several review courses, and possibly complete the program in a week.  Once you receive the C.M. designation, you must affirmatively act to maintain your credential and remain an active member of AAAE.
