AAAE/SC Chapter AAAE Airports Conference of the Americas

The Airports Conference of the Americas is presented by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), the South Central Chapter AAAE, and the International Association of Airport Executives (IAAE), and being held in close collaboration with the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

This annual conference brings together airport and aviation executives from Latin America, the Caribbean and the U.S. to discuss important topics affecting international aviation in the U.S., Caribbean and Latin American region. Participants will have the opportunity to hear how others are handling current challenges and to discover new solutions for safety, security, commercial air service development and infrastructure development and funding issues. This is the best forum for U.S. airport, government and industry suppliers to network with representatives from their counterparts from the Caribbean and Latin America and to discuss the challenges associated with managing an international airport in today's fast-moving environment.

The agenda typically includes representatives from organizations such as FAA, IATA, ICAO, and other aviation entities. The conference will allow participants to initiate greater collaboration in safety between all stakeholders moving forward. Examples of session topics may include runway safety, infrastructure planning and funding, commercial air service development, wildlife management, new concession trends and security. During the last few years, attendees of this meeting have represented the following countries: U.S. and the U.S. Virgin Islands, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Jamaica, Peru, Brazil, Antigua and Barbuda, St. Lucia, Turks and Caicos Islands, Barbados, Curacao, Cayman Islands, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Anguilla, Bahamas, Martinique, Trinidad and Tobago, Aruba, Bonaire, Costa Rica, Haiti, St. Maarten and Ecuador.
