AAAE is pleased to present the 2017 Industrial Aviation and Military Operations Workshop, June 21-23, in beautiful and historic Savannah, Georgia. Make your plans today to join military leaders, federal officials, industry colleagues and other aviation professionals at the only training workshop created to discuss the latest regulations, technologies, issues concerning military/civilian airfield operations and the growing area of industrial aviation. This year’s workshop will begin on Wednesday, June 21, at 4 p.m. with a AAAE Industrial Aviation/Joint Use Issues Committee meeting that is open to all participants. Registration for the conference will open at 5 p.m. and a welcome reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. that will provide an opportunity for industry and military professionals to network and catch up with one another in a relaxed social environment.
Among the highlights featured at this year’s workshop is a session discussing the role civilian airports play in supporting Industrial Aviation activity including maintenance, repair and overhaul, paint and interior completion, aircraft assembly, fabrication and manufacturing and the work being done with the FAA to create a special classification for this activity. A session with FAA officials will provide the opportunity for participants to interact on topics such as planning, financial issues and the environment. Military and civilian leaders will be on hand to provide updates on Joint Use issues and civilian partnerships and a session on military transition training will present options and information for military personnel who wish to move to the commercial aviation sector.
Friday will be dedicated to an offsite tour where participants will have the opportunity to interact with personnel in a hands-on environment and discuss operational challenges and solutions.
Registration fees include all handouts, the welcome reception, two continental breakfasts, one lunch, all coffee breaks and the Onsite tour (including transportation). Dress is business casual.
