The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) is pleased to present the 2017 General Aviation (GA) Issues and Security Conference, August 20-22, in Van Nuys, CA. We'd like to thank the Van Nuys Airport for hosting this year's conference!

This annual gathering of industry stakeholders focuses on tackling the most challenging issues facing general aviation today and analyzing current trends to help airports better prepare for the road ahead. The interactive format of the sessions will provide an opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss and debate a variety of issues vital to general aviation.

Attendees should expect a robust agenda of informative sessions, with highly respected speakers from throughout the general aviation community.  Topics to be discussed during the conference program include; the latest on federal funding and regulatory issues, residential through-the- fence agreements, recent developments in general aviation security, the FAA's recent focus on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), the ASSET II Program and wildlife management issues.  Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn industry best practices in areas such as non-aeronautical revenue development, business efficiency, operational safety , local government relations and community outreach.
