Teakoe Coleman, A.A.E., is the Vice President, Training and Business Development, for the American Association of Airport Executives.
Teakoe leads AAAE’s Training and Business Development department efforts to offer customized classroom and web-based training solutions designed to assist individuals in meeting airport training compliance standards, pursue airport industry training certifications, and access other professional development opportunities.
Teakoe rejoined AAAE following nearly a six-year hiatus with the U.S. Government Accountability Office as a defense policy analyst. Prior to GAO, Teakoe facilitated the sales and delivery of an array of AAAE training products throughout the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean from December 1999 through September 2010.
During this span, Teakoe worked closely with the Federal Aviation Administration to plan and deliver Part 139 training and other demand-driven customized training solutions to the airport industry. He helped guide the creation, design and development of several airport industry certifications within the Airport Certified Employee (ACE) programs, and offered Part 139 training to the Department of the Air Force and the Transportation Security Administration. He also served as liaison to the International Association of Airport Executives Canada, and supported AAAE’s Chairs for Training, Diversity, and Military Relations Committees.
Teakoe graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1996 with a degree in Aviation Business Administration while concentrating on Airport Management and Aviation Safety. He earned an MBA in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management in 2004, and became an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) in 2007.
