2019 Massport Fire-Rescue Facility*:

Get a behind the scenes look at Massport’s Fire-Rescue Facility.  Attendees will receive a short classroom style overview of the all hazards approach, emerging hazards and trends, the mutual aid system and Logan Airport Emergency Plan.  Walk through and tour the station, explore the apparatus floor and participate in equipment demonstrations including the High Reach Extendable Turret, decontamination tent system and trauma kits.  Then experience a live fire at the Massport  Fire-Rescue Training Facility! 90 minutes – Pre-Registration required - Limited to 50.
This tour will take place on Tuesday, June 18 at 1-4 p.m.  Attendees MUST be registered for the conference before signing up for this tour and may only participate in ONE tour.

2019 Boston Logan Airport*:

Experience the newest terminal spaces at Boston Logan International Airport: Join a 90 minute narrated walking tour of three terminals featuring the latest innovations in gate areas, specialty seating, wayfinding, exhibits, artwork and concessions. Participants will see the brand new Terminal B addition which includes a new security check point with automated screening lanes, a great hall with innovative and local concessions and the use of dynamic glass on the exterior curtain wall.  Your visit to Terminal E, (International Terminal) will include a look at the 95,000 sq. addition built with three Airbus-380 gates. This LEED Gold certified addition includes design elements that are resilient and sustainable. As you walk through Terminal C you have the opportunity to see several exhibits including the Four Centuries of Innovation Wall which features 49 world-changing innovations in medicine, technology, education, finance and social change.  In addition, you will also see the “Wall of Fame” that displays leading Nobel Prize winners that have connections to Massachusetts and the Children’s Literature exhibit that show case famous children’s authors that have local roots. The tour will also highlight upcoming construction projects including roadway improvements, a new exterior canopy, and the Terminal C connector project. Pre-registration is required and the maximum number of attendees is 65.

*Please note, in order to participate with either tour, AAAE will need to obtain your full name, driver's license number or passport number and date of birth by Monday, June 3, 2019 for security clearance.
