Register early to participate in a tour! Tours are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Behind the scenes at DEN

  • Fills up fast! (Capacity is 95)
  • One tour, two hours in duration + two hours travel to/from downtown. Total time commitment is four hours.
  • Tour targeted to any conference attendee.

Get a behind the scenes look at one of the largest airfields in the world! You’ll see ramps between concourses that are so big you can taxi two 747’s and two DC-10’s side by side at the same time. See the ongoing construction to build 39 additional gates, our new ground load facility, cargo and drive under the bridge between the main terminal and Concourse A that’s large enough to taxi 737’s underneath it. Finally, we’ll stop at one of our deice pads that will showcase all of the unique vehicles we use for snow removal and other airfield maintenance along with our new 4,500 gallon ARFF trucks.

Attendees can attend ONE tour.  Advanced security information is required to participate.  Contact Christine Montgomery to submit your security clearance information.  Failure to do so will forfeit your participation in the tour.

Where do the bags go?!

  • Fills up fast! (Capacity is 55)
  • Four tours each one and a half hours in duration + two hours travel to/from downtown. Total time commitment is three and a half hours.
  • Walking Tour
  • Tour targeted to any conference attendee.

The tour will look at our new Consolidated Baggage Reconciliation Area (CBRA) for TSA bag screening along with our new Baggage 5.5 project. The 5.5 project will connect the various ticketing areas in the Great Hall allowing greater flexibility in routing bags to TSA. This is essential so one area does not get overwhelmed when other ticketing areas are seeing light use. The total value of these two projects is $200 million.
