ABOUT ADAMS: Gina F. Adams is Corporate Vice President for Government Affairs at FedEx Corporation. Ms. Adams is responsible for shaping and promoting the interests of all FedEx Corporation operating companies in the political and policy arenas.  As a lawyer and the company’s top lobbyist, she works with Administration officials, members of Congress, the diplomatic community and industry associations on domestic and international commerce and transportation issues. She sits on a number of boards including American University, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, National Museum of Women in the Arts and the Economic Club of Washington.  Ms. Adams has been honored by many organizations and featured in local and national publications for her community service.  

She has twice received the FedEx Five Star Award, the company’s highest employee achievement award.  Previously, she worked in the Office of the General Counsel at the U.S. Department of Transportation.  She received an LLM from Georgetown University Law Center, her JD from Howard University School of Law and a BS from American University’s School of Public Affairs. Ms. Adams has also received an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from Trinity University, Washington DC and was recently inducted into the DC Hall of Fame.

Gilbert, after a 21-year career as an air traffic controller at Houston Center, is now in her ninth year as NATCA’s Executive Vice President. She is the first NATCA EVP to serve three, three-year terms. She has helped lead and oversee NATCA’s comprehensive efforts to build successful collaborative working relationships with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of Transportation (DOT), the aviation industry, the AFL-CIO, and members of Congress that have resulted in excellent progress on aviation safety. Her efforts include serving on many boards and committees including: the FAA/NATCA Collaborative Steering Committee, the Aero Club of Washington Board of Governors, the Drone Advisory Committee, Vice Chair of the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) Air Traffic Services Committee, the Finance Committee of the International Federation of Air Traffic Controllers' Associations (IFATCA), and the AFL-CIO Political Committee, Legislative/Policy Committee, and the Committee on Women Workers.
