AAAE Conference Scholarship Program

Two of the top reasons airport professionals join AAAE are for the outstanding professional development and networking opportunities provided at our conferences.  However, we recognize that participation in conferences can be a cost-prohibitive investment for airport or personal budgets.  AAAE created the Conference Scholarship Program to provide airport professionals, who may not otherwise be able to attend, with the opportunity to participate in important industry gatherings.

In 2018, AAAE will provide:

  • Two scholarships to the Airport Planning, Design and Construction Symposium, to be held February 28-March 2, 2018 in Denver, Colorado
  • Seven scholarships to the 90th Annual AAAE Conference & Exposition, to be held April 15-18, 2018 in San Diego, California
  • Five scholarships to the 2018 F. Russell Hoyt National Airports Conference, to be held September 16-18, 2018 in Anchorage, Alaska

Each Conference Scholarship will include:

  • Flights to/from the conference
  • Hotel lodging during the conference
  • Complimentary registration to the conference

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be an Executive or Affiliate member of AAAE in good standing at the time of application and of the conference.
  • Must submit a complete application, including a letter of recommendation from a supervisor.
  • Cannot currently be covered by a AAAE Leadership Travel Account.
  • Cannot have benefited from a AAAE Conference Scholarship Program previously

 Deadlines for Application:

  • Airport Planning, Design and Construction Symposium: January 22, 2018
  • 90th Annual AAAE Conference & Exposition: February 20, 2018
  • 2018 F. Russell Hoyt National Airports Conference: July 23, 2018

If you apply for a scholarship for the conference of your choice and are not selected, you may choose to be considered for one of the future conferences.  You may indicate this on the application; you will not be required to submit a new application.
