With decades of experience advocating directly on behalf of airport executives before Congress, the AAAE Legislative Affairs team is widely recognized as one of the most effective transportation lobbying organizations in Washington. The Legislative Affairs team delivers results on Capitol Hill on key funding and policy questions and provides airport executives with constant communications on the state of play with key issues.

Transportation Security Policy

The AAAE Transportation Security Policy Department was created in October 2002 to focus exclusively on the important security challenges facing airports. The TSP department provides dedicated interaction with the Department of Homeland Security, the Transportation Security Administration, Customs and Border Protection, and other federal agencies responsible for homeland security issues and works to keep airports up-to-date on federal security policy.


The AAAE Regulatory Affairs Department represents airport executives before the Department of Transportation, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency and others. The Regulatory Affairs team stays on top of the latest developments affecting airports on the regulatory front and ensures that airports have a strong voice in the federal regulatory process.
