ACE Airfield Operations


2019 ACE Operations modules are now available. You can purchase the new modules here. All candidates in the ACE Operations program have been sent a link to access PDFs of the new modules. If you did not receive the link, please contact When submitting a proctor request, please indicate which exam version you intend to take.


A Part 139-based curriculum designed to educate and challenge airport personnel with airfield operations responsibilities or anyone interested in a related career.

How can you earn this prestigious and unique designation? Follow these steps:
  1. Choose which ACE Program you'd like to pursue. 
  2. Pay the ACE program fee.
  3. Indicate whether you would like to complete the self-study program or attend a review course.
  4. After being accepted into the program, you will receive a welcome letter with detailed instructions on how to become an ACE. Your course modules will be sent to you when AAAE has received payment. Exceptions may be made for those attending review courses.
  5. Complete the self-study course and pass the written exam. Your exam can be proctored locally at no extra charge, or
  6. Sign-up for a review course, including the exam (not available for ACE - Communications program).  Search the AAAE meetings calendar or the onsite training calendar for review course dates and locations.
