200646 - ACE Communications Virtual Training
This training is tailored to address the unique operational techniques, challenges and responsibilities of the airport communication center dispatcher. It is based on a variety of techniques and recommendations from U.S. government agencies and leading industry communication organizations. The instructor will review the essential elements needed to attain the ACE Communications certification.

Registration Instructions: 
To register, first select Register Myself or Register Someone Else. To register for individual sessions at $95 each, select the Individual Sessions button under Registration Options. Then under Program, select Add for each session for which you want to register, and proceed to checkout. To register for all 10 sessions and receive a $100 discount, select the Full Series button, and check out.

Registration fee includes training content and presentations. Recordings of sessions will be available for review for 90 days after each session.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Webinar registration fees are non-refundable. A recording of the webinar will still be provided to cancelled registrations after the live webinar occurs. Attendees will be introduced to the attributes of a professional ACS, to include essential knowledge, skills, and abilities and the values and ethics required to be successful in this position. Also covered is the job description of the ACS along with providing some perceptions and realities of the job. At the end of this session, there will include an opportunity to ask questions.

This session covers the roles and responsibilities of the airport communications specialist (ACS). Attendees will be introduced to the basic areas an ACS is responsible for; i.e., telephone interrogation, and resource allocation, coordination of logistics, call prioritization, and resource networking. Also covered are the topics of airport operations, confidentiality, and risk management. We round off this session with an overview of the minimum training requirements for the ACS and some training alternatives to enhance your skills. The last part of this session will include an opportunity to ask questions.

This session will cover the topic of stress and its effect on the airport communications specialist (ACS). Topics range on the issue of stress, its negative effects, and the stressors unique to the ACS. Also included are helpful suggestions and techniques for mitigating stress and burnout. We round of this session with news media relations and how to work with them without creating undo exposure to the airport operator. The last part of this session will include an opportunity to ask questions.

Also covered in this session are operational procedures commonly found in the ACC such as the radio dispatch process, radio broadcast rules and specific techniques used on the radio network.
