This session covers the roles and responsibilities of the airport communications specialist (ACS). Attendees will be introduced to the basic areas an ACS is responsible for; i.e., telephone interrogation, and resource allocation, coordination of logistics, call prioritization, and resource networking. Also covered are the topics of airport operations, confidentiality, and risk management. We round off this session with an overview of the minimum training requirements for the ACS and some training alternatives to enhance your skills. The last part of this session will include an opportunity to ask questions.
