Undergraduate or graduate students are eligible to apply if they are endorsed by an active A.A.E., Executive Emeritus, or Honorary Life member of AAAE, who is also a member of their
regional AAAE chapter. Relation to the A.A.E. will not be considered in evaluating applications, though it is a required field on the application for informational purposes.
Students must be enrolled in full-time education programs. Scholarship recipients can be enrolled in any course of study.
The following selection criteria are used: academic records, participation in school and community activities, work experience, and a personal statement.
The Endorsed Scholarship Program award amount for 2019 is $3,000. Up to 20 Endorsed by an A.A.E. Scholarships will be awarded. The program is competitive – applying will not guarantee that an award will be made, and only the top 20 applications will receive an award.
Accredited Airport Executives (A.A.E.s) who have not, do not or will not have dependents to utilize the A.A.E. Scholarship may recommend up to three undergraduate students per year for the Endorsed by an A.A.E. Scholarship.
The Endorsed Scholarship Program is not intended to be used by active A.A.E.s with dependents (as outlined in the A.A.E. Scholarship Program brochure) that will apply for the A.A.E. Scholarship program in the future, or have already benefited from A.A.E. Scholarship Program awards.
Active A.A.E.s may not utilize both the A.A.E. and Endorsed Scholarship Programs.
