AAAE Elects Leaders for 2019-20 at 91st Annual Conference & Exposition

Alexandria, Va. – Tory Richardson, A.A.E., Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Columbus Regional Airport Authority, took office this week as Chair of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) for 2019-20. Founded in 1928, AAAE is the world’s largest professional organization representing the women and men who work at public-use commercial and general aviation airports. Other key appointments to the Association’s Executive Committee, Board of Directors and Policy Review Committee were also finalized during the 91st Annual AAAE Conference & Exposition in Boston, which was held June 16-19 and hosted by Boston Logan International Airport.
  
“AAAE has a rich history of dedicated service from talented volunteer leaders, and we are incredibly fortunate to have another exceptional group of airport executives step up to devote their time, energy and intellect to help guide the Association over the next year,” AAAE President and CEO Todd Hauptli said. “On behalf of the AAAE team, I congratulate each of them on the extraordinary recognition they have earned from their peers and extend our sincere appreciation for their tireless commitment to our organization and the airport industry.”
  
Richardson was one of six Executive Committee members elected by the AAAE membership during the 91st Annual Conference. He succeeds Jeanne Olivier, A.A.E., ACE, Assistant Director, Aviation Security and Technology at the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, who becomes First Past Chair. Second Past Chair is Scott Brockman, A.A.E., President and CEO of Memphis International Airport.
