The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) is pleased to present the Airport Certified Employee (ACE) – Safety Management Systems Regional Onsite Review Course, May 9-12, 2017 in Honolulu, HI. This unique Airport Certified Employee (ACE) - Safety Management Systems (SMS) program is based on FAA regulation and the recent release of the SNPRM regarding Airport Safety Management Systems (SMS). The curriculum is designed to educate and challenge airport personnel with airfield and SMS responsibilities.
What does the review course consist of?
At the review course, attendees will have the opportunity to review each of the modules with the expert author. The instructor constantly will gauge the student’s comprehension throughout the course by delivering sample test questions and by asking students to apply what they have learned. This review course produces results.
How do I earn the ACE SMS Credential?
To earn the ACE- Safety Management Systems (SMS) designation, an individual must be enrolled in the ACE- SMS Program (included in the registration fee for this course) and successfully complete a 100-question multiple-choice examination with a 70 percent score or better (administered on the last day of the course). AAAE will provide each candidate with the study materials necessary to complete the exam successfully. Upon successful completion of the program, members will have the privilege of identifying themselves as an ACE-SMS and will receive a patch, lapel pin and certificate. Upon registration and receipt of payment, an electronic version of the ACE- SMS Review Course body of knowledge modules will be sent to the registrant. The hardcopy modules will be provided to all attendees at the course.
Facts about the review course
You do NOT have to be a member of AAAE to attend this course or earn the ACE. However, if you are interested in pursuing a Safety Management Systems Certification and taking the final exam, you need to be registered in the ACE-SMS program
