In the continual effort to present affordable airport training programs, the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) OnSite Training Department is pleased to present the ACE Operations Review Course to be held May 6-9, 2019 in Detroit, Michigan at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport.
The Airport Certified Employee - Airfield Operation Program, or ACE, is a Part 139-based curriculum designed to educate and challenge airport personnel with airfield operations responsibilities or anyone interested in a related career. This interactive 4-day course is comprised of professional developed material based on Part 139 requirements and is delivered through several methods: lectures, case studies, and videos. The course materials have been review by FAA and senior operations personnel at large and small hub airports around the country. ACE - Airfield Operations covers universally applicable airfield information, as well as operational regulations and procedures specific to your airfield. The course includes a multiple choice final exam that must be passed with a 70% or higher in order to receive the ACE certification.
The ACE Operation Program was redesigned and the new program content was launched in January of 2019. This course was updated accordingly to align with the new information. The course and material has also been completely re-aligned to be in sequence of FAR Part 139, with the exception of self inspections which appears throughout the modules. Material that is covered in other ACES (Security, SMS, etc.) was removed except for a mention. All sections were reviewed and updated as needed including major updates in winter operations, signs, marking, and lighting, and airport construction. New content was added for airport weather and irregular operations or IROPS. Some new, additional guidance was added using the FAA Certification Program Handbook.
