In the continual effort to present affordable airport training programs, the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) is pleased to partner with the Northeast Chapter of AAAE and the Grand Forks International Airport to offer the Basic Snow Academy to be held September 23-24, 2019 in Grand Forks, ND.
Basic Snow Academy
This is the first and only course that will challenge airport personnel with Winter Operations responsibilities by providing hands on interactive training and basic knowledge of safe winter operations of a FAR Part 139 certificated and non certificated airport.This 2 day onsite includes training on identifying Snow Removal Equipment Types and Categories, Approved Chemical and Aggregate Materials used for Deicing, Anti-Icing, and Pavement Friction Enhancement, TALPA/RCAM, Human Factors, Weather Forecasting and planning for Winter Weather Mitigation, Radio Communication Protocol, Components of the Snow and Ice Control Plan (SICP), and many other topics.
This course educates airport employees, including snowplow and airport equipment operators, on how to utilize best practices while performing snow and ice control measures on airports during winter operations. Attend this training course and challenge your airport personnel with winter operations responsibilities by providing hands on interactive training and basic knowledge of safe winter operations of a FAR Part 139 Certificated Airport.
Course Dates and Times: Class will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on both Monday, September 23rd and Tuesday, September 24th.
Meals: A continental breakfast, lunch and refreshment breaks will be provided both days courtesy of our host.
Training Location: Grand Forks International Airport ARFF/Ops/SRE Facility which is located on the airport at 2787 Airport Drive, Grand Forks ND 58203
