Preparation for the Academy

How to Prepare

Prior to the course, you will want to be sure to read the study materials. It is a lot of information, so even reading through the books one time can help. The more time you can commit to preparing ahead of time, the better off you will be when it comes to exam time. If you have not yet received your modules and have ordered hard copies, they are on the way. If you are a member and are enrolled in the C.M. or A.A.E. program, you will have access to the materials online at: aaae.org/CMModules or aaae.org/AAEModules, depending on the program in which you are enrolled. You must be logged in to view the tab with the online materials. If you do not know your login information, you can request/reset it here. Your username is most likely your email address.

Be sure to also download the AAAE app. Within the app you can connect with other attendees, form study groups, and much more.

What to Bring

  • Body of Knowledge Modules (you can just bring the module(s) that corresponds to that day’s lesson)
  • Writing utensils and/or highlighters
  • Index cards (for studying at night)
  • AAAE will provide your course workbooks and extra highlighters
