Through their mobile app or smart glasses, Aira connects users to trained professionals, called Aira Agents, who can see a users’ environment through their mobile camera. This allows agents to describe objects, read signage, provide navigation, take and label photos, and much more. Aira serves both consumers as well as public/private partners through Aira Access. Comprised of 45,000 locations and counting, Aira Access provides free use of the service at municipalities, corporations, airports, transit authorities, and retail – enabling those who are blind or have low vision to fully engage and experience the world around them.
How to get Aira Access for your airport You purchase an annual subscription that provides your travelers with unlimited access to Aira agents while at your airport.
Aira deployment and activation are simple as it requires no integration to your physical or digital systems, nor does it require training or administration by your staff.
Once a passenger with the Aira app enters your airport, a custom notification alerts the passenger that Aira is free to use
Minneapolis-St.Paul International Airport, Aira, and AAAE presented a Case Study Webinar to explain how the Aira platform can help airports address the accessibility challenge and the specific operational and public relations benefits MSP has experienced through the platform. Watch the Webinar
