The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) is pleased to partner with the Charlotte Douglas International Airport to host the 2018 Geospatial Technologies Conference and Exposition, which will take place at the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel from May 21-24 in Charlotte, NC.
The conference program focuses on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Building Information Modeling (BIM), Computer Aided Design (CAD), aerial imagery, and other geospatial technologies for planning, operations, facilities maintenance, asset management, and emergency management. Leading industry experts will gather to discuss how airports are applying these technologies, challenges and opportunities, cost/benefit analyses, funding and management support, staffing and workforce development, as well as new industry trends.
Presentations identify geospatial topics and technologies that are relevant to airports and the aviation industry as a whole. Examples of presentation topics: 3D applications, connectivity, internet of things (IoT), smart cities for airports, unmanned aerial systems (UAS), location based services (LBS), NextGen geospatial initiatives.
In an effort to make the program as strong and relevant to as possible, we issued this call for abstracts from all geospatial technology and aviation industry experts.
