The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), and Charlotte Douglas International Airport are pleased to present the 21st Annual AAAE Airport Geospatial Technologies Conference and Exhibition. This newly reimagined and one-of-a-kind conference will be held May 21-24th, 2018, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Formerly known as the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Conference, this will be the third year of an expanded and refocused program which will address Building Information Modeling (BIM), Computer Aided Design (CAD), aerial imagery, and other geospatial technologies for planning, operations, maintenance, asset management, and issues and technology. Top industry experts will be gathered to discuss ways in which airports have applied these technologies, successes they have achieved, and challenges they have overcome in order to fully utilize these transformational capabilities. Technical presentations will identify new technologies and trends that are deeply relevant to airports and the aviation industry as a whole.
Organizational factors such as cost/benefit analyses, staffing requirements, obtaining funding and management support, and risk mitigation also will be key topics addressed at the conference, including the impact on and the benefits airports receive from FAA’s Airports GIS program.
All sessions will be held at the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel in downtown Charlotte, NC. The conference begins with an evening reception on Monday, May 21, and ends on Thursday, May 24. Registration fees include a welcome reception, three continental breakfasts, three lunches, refreshment breaks and all handout materials. Dress is business casual.
