Airport Tour

The Chicago Department of Aviation will conduct a tour of the airfield at O’Hare International Airport, the morning of Wednesday, November 16, 2022. Confirmed tour participants will see CDA’s industry-leading sustainability initiatives and projects.


Tour registration is limited to Airports Going Green® full conference participants only (day pass registrations not eligible). Due to security requirements, the deadline to register for the O’Hare Airfield Tour is Friday, October 14, 2022. On-site tour registration at the Airports Going Green Conference® will not be available. Additional security information will be needed in advance for confirmed airport tour registrants and will be collected by the Chicago Department of Aviation.

What to Wear/Bring

Dress code is casual. Please wear comfortable walking shoes. The bus will make scheduled stops on the tour that will involve light walking and stairs. Tour attendees must bring a valid government-issued Photo ID and/or Passport in order to gain airfield access on the day of the tour. 

Itinerary for Confirmed Airport Tour Participants

8:00 a.m. Buses Depart from lobby of voco Chicago Downtown at Wolf Point
9:00-11:30 a.m.  O'Hare Airfield Tour
The bus will make scheduled stops on the tour that will involve light walking and stairs. Please wear comfortable walking shoes. Dress code is casual.
11:30 a.m. (approximate) Drop-Off at ORD Terminals
If you have a flight out that day, luggage may be brought on the tour and stored at the Aviation Administration Building until the end of the tour.

2:00 p.m. (approximate) Arrival back at voco Chicago Downtown at Wolf Point
