Workshop: External Stakeholder Review
Sustainable Airport Manual (SAM) 2019 Draft Updates

The Chicago Department of Aviation’s (CDA) industry-leading Sustainable Airport Manual (SAM) provides sustainability guidance to all airport design and construction projects, as well as operations and maintenance activities, for CDA’s facilities and for CDA’s concessionaires and tenants. The SAM is the first of its kind in the U.S. and was developed with input from over 200 stakeholders representing airports, airlines, government agencies, the sustainability industry, and community groups. The CDA is updating SAM in 2019 to enhance the focus on sustainability strategies for terminal space.

CDA invites all conference attendees to attend this Workshop to review and provide feedback on the draft SAM updates in advance of public release, which is anticipated in December 2019. All registered attendees of the workshop will receive a review copy of the draft SAM updates in early October 2019.

Space is limited to Airports Going Green Conference participants. Advance sign-up required during the conference registration process. If you are not sure if you signed-up, contact
