Chair, Symposium Planning Committee and
Senior Aviation Project Manager, Crawford, Murphy, & Tilly
On behalf of the Airport Consultants Council, the American Association of Airport Executives, and my fellow Symposium Planning Committee members, I would like to invite you to register for the 2022 Airport Planning, Construction, & Design Symposium on March 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of 2022. After an unprecedented year in which we had no choice but to hold the Symposium virtually, I can say with the utmost certainty that we all look forward to welcoming you to Music City USA, Nashville, TN.
This year, with the return to in-person programming, we plan to also return to our traditional technical track structure of Planning/Environmental, Terminal/Landside, Engineering/Airside, and PM/CM. In addition, we also welcome the return of the Symposiums industry leading Young Professionals program, as well as many opportunities for the sharing of technical information, networking, and collaborating with our peers and industry partners.
With the return of the Symposium traditional track structure, we have a fantastic program of 25 unique technical workshops focusing on a diverse range of issues. The workshops consist of topics such as diversity and equity in planning, modular construction best practices, and discussions on the post-pandemic recovery. In addition to the traditional tracks, we are also planning a fantastic slate of plenary sessions and keynote speakers. These are envisioned to include an airport owner’s panel discussion, open mic sessions with the FAA, and TSA, as well as a look into the future of aircraft design and aerospace operations. With the return to an in-person symposium format, we will again be able to offer the typical number of accreditation credits for those who attend the various sessions.
Please download the matrix and continue to check back often, as additional detail will be continually added to the program as we approach the Symposium.
Lastly, please join me in bringing the Airport Planning, Construction, and Design Symposium back in spectacular fashion. I look forward to seeing and welcoming you all in Nashville in March!
