The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) is pleased to present the 21st Annual AAAE Aviation Security Summit, scheduled to occur December 14-15, 2021, in Arlington, Virginia.
The 21st Annual AAAE Aviation Security Summit will continue the tradition of AAAE and federal aviation security policymakers coming together at a joint summit to review the complex issues surrounding aviation security and public health today. The issues and challenges facing airport operators, airlines and aviation security professionals and the leadership at DHS, TSA and CBP are many, not the least of which are the impacts of the COVID-19 global pandemic. At the 2020 Security Summit, sessions explored the impact that the pandemic has had on aviation security, including the acceleration and deployment of technology to reduce touch and contact between passengers and TSA screeners, the balance between security and pressing public health priorities, and the safe and secure recovery of domestic and international air travel. The 2020 Summit also addressed the ongoing aviation security vulnerabilities of the insider threat and cyberattacks. The summit enables the open exchange of ideas and information on the most important security issues facing the aviation industry. This conference provides the perfect opportunity to join in a dialogue with policymakers from TSA, CBP, and DHS, learn about the latest developments regarding security policy and technology, and connect with key aviation security decision-makers.
