The American Association of Airport Executives, in partnership with Woolpert, is pleased to present the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Conference.
Today’s UAS industry is sophisticated and rapidly advancing. In 2018 alone, the landscape continues to evolve, with the introduction of the UAS Integration Pilot Program (IPP), further implementation of Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC) services, increasing debate over ensuring the safety of recreational UAS operations and mitigating security concerns, and more airports and industries quickly scaling the use of UAS. The conference will bring together industry leaders to examine potential strategies for the integration of UAS into the airspace, airport environment, and for business operations. We will review recent changes and those on the horizon. In bringing all stakeholders together, we aim to better understand today’s UAS environment and best practices and proactively lay the groundwork for new ones.
Our hope is that the conference provides an open forum for dialogue and an opportunity for all stakeholders who will be affected by UAS integration to collaborate and develop a shared vision for the future of UAS and what it will take to get there. Attendees will include leaders from the manned and unmanned aviation industries, commercial, public and recreational UAS operators, new players that are adopting UAS, senior government officials, technology providers, and investors.
